Bob is a rancher from rural Wyoming who has suffered for many years with depression, anxiety and irritability related to family stressors for a long time. He had been seeing his primary care doctor who prescribed him medications to try to improve his mood and to also decrease his anxiety. While these medications helped to some extent, Bob said he wanted to”feel like my old self again” – when he had more energy and was more engaged in life and with his family. There were no psychiatrists or therapists nearby who he could talk with, so his primary care doctor referred him to HLN.
Bob’s anxiety has decreased, his energy has increased and, most significantly, he feels hopeful about the future.
With the help of his HLN psychiatrist, Bob’s medications were changed and he was referred to an HLN therapist who meets with him regularly. He has learned a lot about himself and ways to better manage his emotions through therapy. Bob reports his anxiety has decreased, his energy has increased and, most significantly, he feels hopeful about the future. Bob feels better than he has in many years.
